Back Online

The IMUNION, the newspaper for the Iberian Model United Nation conferences, is back after two years of inactivity. I believe that taking advantage of what the internet offers to its users is extremely important and essential in our lives today. Being able to find information across the globe only minutes after something occurred has sped up the way we live as individuals and as a society. The ability to use email, and to communicate instantly and freely to any corner of the world has structured our society in such a way that we all depend on internet in one way or another.

By putting the IMUNION online, we are able to share information in a way that it's safely preserved and accessible not only to the delegates and their families, but also to the curious who run into this website. No one knows who might have accessed this website whether intentionally or by accident and what they're reaction was. The internet allows anonymity to take a new form so that you can be anyone, well known or not and still have your privacy. On the other hand, new services like YouTube is also making everyday people of all ages famous in a continuously growing community, not only on that website, but in the internet as a whole. The IMUNION, now as a part of the internet, as a part of that community will grow is online, and that means that we are now all exposed to the world. Hopefully, this accomplishment will continue for years to come.
