I would like to give a warm welcome to everyone participating in the 8th Annual Iberian Model United Nations Conference, and a special congratulations to juniors Daniel Morais and Marina Torres, selected to be this year's Conference President and Vice-President, respectively, and also to senior Justin Lee, selected to be this year's Head of the Administrative Staff. With some 250 students joining us as delegates from schools worldwide, this year's Conference will be the largest we've ever had, which makes all of us very excited. Everyone involved in the Conference wants to make it the best that it can be, and this year we are one step closer towards achieving that maximum, with many productive additions to the Conference to show for it.
The Conference website is one of those positive additions, and we are thrilled that you are making use of it, and especially glad that you came visit the newspaper section of it. Be on the lookout for other great surprises, which will become evident during the three days of the Conference.
The Press team this year is composed of twelve students dedicated to producing a great newspaper. We will all be available throughout the Conference to hear any comments you may have and may want to voice in the Conference newspaper, IMUNION, as we are here to contribute to the productive debates the delegates will have in the General Assembly room, thus enriching the spirit of the Conference. We want to make sure that the newspaper remains of interest to all delegates, so please contact one of the Press members if you have any article that you would like to submit to IMUNION (for more information read about Press Releases).
